Celluloid Heights Renovated - 1930's Hollywood Castle

In may 2013 the film The Great Gatsby was released and a stream of 1930's vintage style flew around the globe. Just like many others, I was affected by the 1930's in the summer of 2013. In a way of nostalgia an idea arose in me: I had to build an 1930's art deco building in the Sims 3. No sooner said than done. I scoured the web for American 1930's art deco interiors and ended up with pictures of lovely 1930's Hollywood homes. I discovered that the living style of that time was saturated with grotesque splendor, preferably in a Spanish or Arabian style. For example, the legendary Mission Inn Hotel, the fabulous Lake Norconian Resort Supreme (God please, somebody has to save this historical artifact from demolition!), Marlene Dietrich's 913 North Bedford Drive, the 1001 nights Chaplin home 6147 Temple Drive and the remote but overwhelming Scotty's Castle. With these characteristic buildings in mind my eyes were attracted by the ugly-built Celluloid Heights hill-top building in Bridgeport. It was overwhelmingly evident that this house was built in a 1930's style, but it was also evident that it had failed. The interior colors were too catchy and the building shape was just without inspiration: an excellent opportunity for a renovation! I demolished the whole building, but remained the exterior bricks and the basement, which I love. I turned the L shape of the building and began to add enlargements and a decorative tower in the corner. Eventually, the building became to look like a typical 1930's Hollywood Castle. I love the exterior, but the interior needs at some points an upgrading, but that is for later.
I hope you'll enjoy the pictures of this striking Hollywood Castle.
